Cartesian Type 1
Our Cartesian Type 1 product is a traditional lime plaster with natural hydraulic lime and lightweight mineral aggregates that combines breathability with insulating properties and a shortened curing time. Lime plaster has been used in construction for centuries and is extremely eco-friendly as a material. Our Type 1 Lime plaster consists of of chalk, St Astier lime binder, fibres and an insulating component. This blend creates thermal insulation to both the interior and exterior of buildings, without losing the breathability and aesthetics of soft lime plaster.
Lime as a Building Material
Lime plaster can be used on interiors or exteriors of buildings. It is lightweight, breathable, flexible and long lasting. Paired with our paints, your building or home would avoid the need for repair or redecoration for a sustained period of time.
Applying Lime Plaster
Cartesian Lime Type 1 is very quick to use. It can be applied one day and finished the next. Due to it’s setting speed, it has an added freeze thaw protection over other lime plasters and renders.
